Employee Communications, Intranets & Channels Conference 2026: Agenda Highlights

Employee Communications, Intranets and Channels Conference

Employees experience your organization through a handful of moments: their first 90 days, the channels that reach them, the manager they report to, the recognition they receive, and how easily they can find what they need. ALI Conferences’ Employee Communications, Intranets & Channels Conference, November 17-19, 2026, at Mayfair House Hotel & Garden in Miami’s Coconut Grove, is a practical, three-day employee communications conference for the people who design those moments.

It’s built for internal communications, employee experience, HR and digital workplace professionals responsible for intranets, employee channels, content and the technology that connects employees to information, including AI. The conference is chaired by Scott Ashen, Managing Director of Convene Communications.

Pre-conference workshops (November 17)

The workshop day is hands-on. You’ll work on your own organization’s challenges in small groups and leave with something you can use.

  • Mapping the Employee Journey. Build a touchpoint map of your own employee journey, from first recruiter contact to exit, and identify the moments worth fixing first.
  • From Listening to Action. Turn scattered survey, pulse and chat feedback into an experience roadmap with owners, timelines and a closing-the-loop plan employees will believe.
  • Do You Need AI Here? Ashley Lucio of Ashley Lucio Consulting helps you map one workflow you own and find where AI earns its place, and where it only adds a step.
  • Measuring What Matters. Sketch a one-page employee experience dashboard that ties channel reach, onboarding and manager enablement to retention, productivity and change adoption.

General session highlights (November 18-19)

Onboarding, recognition and the manager

  • Designing an Onboarding Experience That Sticks. Vanessa Toves of Druva on a full redesign of the first 90 days built around connection and clarity rather than paperwork.
  • Recognition That Feels Real. Kyle Pearson, Associate Vice President, Colleague Communications at CVS Health, on rebuilding recognition around specificity, timeliness and peer visibility.
  • The Manager as Experience Designer. Logan Wallick and Ana Maria Lopez of Lennar on a manager enablement effort that didn’t add one more thing to overloaded calendars.

Channels and intranets

  • One Workforce, Many Realities. Michelle Wagner of MidPen Housing on rebuilding the channel mix around shift work, field work and hybrid schedules, including frontline supervisors as a channel of their own.
  • Rebuilding the Intranet as an Experience Hub, Not a Filing Cabinet. A ground-up rebuild built on employee tasks instead of org charts, with content governance that has real teeth and hundreds of legacy pages retired.

AI, governance and personalization

  • Panel: AI and the Future of the Digital Workplace with Kathryn Bugg of Tennessee Valley Authority and Kellen Shearin of Fisher & Phillips, on what teams have piloted, what they’ve paused and what the digital workplace realistically looks like a year from now.
  • Governing Content and Channels as AI Reshapes Delivery. Ala Alkhatib of The Joyce Foundation on who approves what an AI assistant tells employees, source-of-truth designation and human accountability.
  • Building a Culture of Belonging Across a Hybrid Workforce. Sheena Adams-Avery on personalizing content by role, location and preference while being transparent about the data used.
  • Panel: Designing Experience for Everyone: Frontline, Hybrid and In-Office with Chandler Williams of Baylor College of Medicine and Layla Acirfa of Amerijet International.

Interactive breakouts let you diagnose a broken touchpoint with peers and build your own 12-month employee experience roadmap before you head home.
