Workshop A: From Listening To Action — Turning Employee Feedback Into An Experience Roadmap
Scott Ashen, Managing Director | Convene Communications
Your organization is collecting more employee feedback than ever — engagement surveys, pulses, exit interviews, skip-levels, intranet comments, chat channels. The gap is rarely in the listening. It is in what happens next.
This working session walks through a practical model for consolidating feedback from across sources, separating signal from noise, and converting themes into a roadmap with owners, timelines, and visible follow-through. You will practice on real (anonymized) feedback and draft a closing-the-loop communication plan employees will actually believe.
You will leave knowing how to: build a single view of employee feedback across scattered sources; prioritize themes by impact rather than volume; assign clear ownership for action; and communicate progress in a way that rebuilds trust in the process.
1:45 pm - 2:00 pm
Networking Break
Enjoy complimentary coffee, tea, and other refreshments as you network with your peers as we switch over to the next workshop.
2:00 pm - 3:15 pm
Workshop B: Do You Need AI Here? Finding Where AI Earns Its Place In Your Workflow
Ashley Lucio, Communications Consultant | Ashley Lucio Consultants
Most AI guidance for communicators begins from the assumption that the answer is yes, and moves straight to tools. This workshop starts a step earlier. You will map one workflow you actually own, mark the points where AI would change the outcome and the points where it would only add a step, then pressure-test that read against peers doing similar work. You will leave with a clear view of where AI earns its place in your work, where it does not, and language for making that case to a leadership team that wants it everywhere.
3:15 pm - 3:30 pm
Stretch Break
Enjoy complimentary coffee, tea, and other refreshments as you network with your peers as we switch over to the next workshop.
3:30 pm - 4:45 pm
Workshop C: Measuring What Matters — Building An Employee Experience Dashboard Your Executives Will Read
Scott Ashen, Managing Director | Convene Communications
Employee experience work is often judged on a single engagement score that nobody fully trusts. This closing workshop tackles the measurement problem directly: what to measure, how to connect it to business outcomes, and how to present it so leaders act on it.
You will work through a framework linking experience inputs (channel reach, onboarding completion, manager enablement, journey friction points) to outcomes leadership already cares about — retention, productivity, safety, customer satisfaction, and speed of change adoption. Then you will sketch a one-page dashboard for your own organization.
You will leave knowing how to: choose a small set of metrics you can actually sustain; establish a baseline when you are starting from nothing; tie experience data to business results without overclaiming; and structure the executive conversation around decisions, not dashboards.

Case Study: The Employee Value Proposition is Broken: How Breaking a Promise Improved Trust and Engagement
Steph Davidson, Chief People & Culture Officer | National MS Society
The employee value proposition is a promise, and employees notice quickly when words and actions stop matching. In this case study, Steph Davidson, Chief People & Culture Officer at the National MS Society, shares what happened when a promise was broken, and how being clear and honest about it ended up improving trust and engagement.
Key Takeaways:
Why matching words and actions is what builds trust and engagement
How a clear promise helps people choose the employer and role that fit their goals and values
10:05 am - 10:40 am
Case Study: One Workforce, Many Realities — Reaching Frontline, Deskless, And Hybrid Employees
Charles Rousseaux, University of Miami
When a meaningful share of your workforce has no desk, no company email, and no time to browse an intranet, an experience strategy designed for corporate employees quietly excludes most of the organization.
This session details how one organization rebuilt its channel mix and content approach around the realities of shift work, field work, and hybrid schedules — including what they changed about timing, format, language, and the role of frontline supervisors as a channel in their own right. Expect specifics on what reached people, what did not, and how they proved the difference.

Case Study: Rebuilding The Intranet As An Experience Hub, Not A Filing Cabinet
Most intranets accumulate rather than evolve. This case study covers a ground-up rebuild that shifted the platform from a document repository into the place employees go to get things done — find answers, complete tasks, and stay connected to the wider organization.
Walk through the decisions that mattered: information architecture built on employee tasks rather than org charts, a content governance model with real teeth, search and personalization choices, and the retirement of hundreds of legacy pages. Includes the adoption data, the internal resistance encountered, and the governance structure that keeps it from sliding backward.

Fireside Chat: Reaching Every Colleague: How CVS Health Runs Channels and Content at Scale
Kyle Pearson, Associate Vice President, Colleague Communications | CVS Health
Moderator: Scott Ashen, Managing Director | Convene Communications
Kyle Pearson leads Colleague Communications at CVS Health, where the audience spans corporate offices, pharmacies and stores. In this candid conversation with Conference Chair Scott Ashen, Kyle shares how his team decides which channels carry which messages, what they have stopped doing, and where AI is starting to change the work.
Key Takeaways:
How to match channels to audiences when some colleagues sit at a desk and many do not
How to govern content and channels across a large, complex organization without slowing it down
Where AI is earning its place in colleague communications, and where it is not yet

Interactive Group Breakout: Journey Mapping In Real Time — Diagnose A Broken Touchpoint With Your Peers
Scott Ashen, Managing Director | Convene Communications
Bring the touchpoint that frustrates you most. In this facilitated small-group session you will work through a structured diagnostic with peers from other organizations: what the employee expects at this moment, what actually happens, where the breakdown sits, and who has the authority to fix it.
Each group reports back with one practical intervention. You leave with outside perspective on your own problem, a repeatable diagnostic you can run with your team, and several ideas borrowed from organizations that have already solved it.
2:55 pm - 3:30 pm
Case Study: From Moments that Matter to Experiences that Work
Logan Wallick, Sr Director, HR Operations | Lennar
Ana Maria Lopez, Director of HR Process Excellence | Lennar
Lennar is transforming the Associate journey by connecting HR services, company news and information, intelligent workflows and AI-powered support into one experience rather than a stack of separate tools. Logan Wallick and Ana Maria Lopez will walk through what that has meant for associates in practice, from onboarding and offboarding to the Beam AI assistant, the mobile app and Manager Hub, and what it took to get there.
Key Takeaways:
How to connect HR service delivery, company news and self-service into a single associate experience rather than a set of separate tools
What the Beam AI assistant, the mobile app and Manager Hub changed for associates day to day
How to drive self-service adoption without pushing more process onto the people you are trying to help

Panel: AI And The Future Of The Digital Workplace — Opportunity, Risk, And Reality
Moderator: Scott Ashen, Managing Director | Convene Communications
AI has arrived in the digital workplace faster than most governance models, budgets, or job descriptions were ready for. This panel separates the genuine opportunity from the vendor noise: where AI is already improving how employees find information, get answers, and complete work — and where it is quietly creating risk around accuracy, privacy, and trust.
Our panelists come from different industries, workforce profiles, and stages of adoption. Expect a candid conversation about what they have piloted, what they have paused, how they are handling policy and employee concerns, and what they believe the digital workplace realistically looks like a year from now.

Case Study: Governing Content And Channels As AI Reshapes Delivery — Who Owns What, And Who Decides
Ala Alkhatib, Communications Officer | The Joyce Foundation
As AI tools begin drafting, summarizing, translating, and surfacing employee content, long-standing questions about ownership and quality become urgent. Who approves what an assistant tells an employee? Which source is authoritative? What happens when the answer is confidently wrong?
This case study details a governance model built for that reality — content standards, review paths, source-of-truth designation, human accountability, and the practical rules the team put in writing. Includes what they got wrong the first time and how the model has held up in daily use.
10:05 am - 10:40 am
Case Study: From Survey Data to Action: Using AI to Hear Every Employee Voice
Liz Gomez, Ph.D., Director of People Experience | Costa Farms
What if AI could help us listen better, not just communicate faster? This case study explores how AI can help turn employee survey data and comments into meaningful insights, clearer communications, and action, without losing the human voice behind the data.

Interactive Group Breakout: Build Your 12-Month Employee Experience Roadmap
Scott Ashen, Managing Director | Convene Communications
Two days of ideas are only useful if something changes when you get back. This working session gives you protected time and a structured template to turn what you have heard into a sequenced 12-month plan.
You will identify your top three priorities, map the stakeholders whose support you need, anticipate the objections you will face, and draft the first conversation you will have when you return. Peer feedback rounds help pressure-test the plan before you take it home.
11:45 am - 12:30 pm
Panel: Designing Experience For Everyone — Frontline, Hybrid, And In-Office
Candice Perilstein, Director of Internal Communications | ADL
Francisca Phillips, Head of People Experience and Culture | Jam City
Chandler Williams, Senior Communications Associate | Baylor College of Medicine
Moderator: Scott Ashen, Managing Director | Convene Communications
A single employee experience strategy now has to work for people on a factory floor, people at a kitchen table, and people back at a desk five days a week. What lands well for one group often misses the others entirely — and the frontline is usually the group left out.
This closing panel brings together leaders managing genuinely mixed workforces to discuss what they have changed to reach everyone: channels and access, communication cadence, recognition and belonging, manager expectations, and how they measure whether it is actually working across each population.
