Tamiko L. Kendrick
Tamiko Kendrick, Director of Diversity, Inclusion and Talent Management at Citizens Energy Group. Tamiko leads the strategic direction for talent management, organizational development and workforce diversity. Tamiko is an experienced HR professional and diversity practitioner with over 20 years in the field and has held positions of increasing responsibility in the Training and Development and Corporate Affairs departments.
A role model and advocate for equality and social justice, Tamiko has held various board positions with community organizations whose focus is to provide a variety of services to seniors, women, minorities, and youth. Past volunteer leadership roles include Diversity Director for Indiana SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) State Council, and past President of the DRTCI (Diversity Roundtable of Central Indiana).
Tamiko leads a national award-winning diversity team and serves a co-lead for the employee communications team. Her efforts in the diversity space at Citizens have been spotlighted on WFYI’s No Limits radio, Fox 59 and WHMB TV’s Full Circle programming. She has facilitated panel discussions and presented topics on talent management strategies, strategic planning, unconscious bias and generational diversity.
Tamiko earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management from Oakland City University with a concentration in Human Resource Management. She also studied Spanish abroad at Universidad de Univac Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico. Her passion, values and diverse background provide a strong foundation that will continue to make a positive impact in her personal life, the workplace and in the community at large.
Tamiko resides in Indianapolis, IN with her husband, Pastor Tim, near their four children and five granddaughters.
