Leyla Goodsell had an affection for storytelling before she knew it could be a real career. She created her first newsletter as a third grader, sparking a life-long curiosity for telling interesting stories and connecting people. Goodsell turned that interestinto a 25-year career in communications spanning the healthcare, nonprofit, government, higher education and utility industries. She has a passion for strategic internal communications and spotlighting the heart of every organization: its employees.

Goodsell joined Entergy Mississippi in 2017 where sheis responsible for internal communications and social media. She earned her bachelor’s degree in communication arts from Georgia Southern University and a master’s degree in public relations from theUniversity of Southern Mississippi. Outside of work, she’s a city girl living in the country. An avid reader and animal-lover. A woman with an affinity for Rothy’s shoes and binge-streaming crime and police procedural TV dramas.
