At the USGS, Stacy brings a background in organization development and training to her role as Internal Communications Officer. Her small and mighty team is charged with bridging the communication between senior leaders and the almost 9,000 widely-distributed employees at the USGS. To do so, her team implements a variety of tools and uses different modalities including employee town hall meetings, the USGS intranet, informal webinar meetings, a weekly news digest, and more.

Stacy is a graduate of the University of Virginia and also earned a master’s degree in Ecological-Community Psychology from Michigan State University. In addition, she holds a certificate in Organization Development from Georgetown University and is an Associate Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation. As the mother of two teenagers, she has plenty of opportunities to try to hone her communication and coaching skills.
