Agatha Newman is an award-winning healthcare leader who is passionate about using innovative communication strategies to help companies deliver value to patients. She currently leads communications for Astellas within the Medical & Development organization, partnering with leadership to drive executive communications, employee engagement, and media relations.

In previous roles, Agatha led global communications at a leading biopharmaceutical company, developing launch strategies, awareness campaigns, and issues management planning. She has worked with Fortune 500 companies including P&G, Kraft Foods, ExxonMobil, Anheuser Busch, and MasterCard to support event/celebrity sponsorship, crisis management, and influencer engagement.

A native St. Louisan and graduate of St. Louis University, Agatha currently lives in Park Ridge, Ill., with her husband, three sons, and dog, Liberty. She serves on the board of trustees for the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum and Tuesday’s Child. While Agatha still craves toasted ravioli, she’s adapted her palate to Chicago-style pizza.
