Justin Brunner

Justin holds over ten years of communication experience in employee communication, change management, digital media development and event planning. As a corporate communications leader, Justin successfully helps clients obtain their desired objectives. He takes on a collaborative and integrated approach – and asks the tough questions – to provide the right deliverables and achieve the right outcomes. He has created and fostered communications campaigns that help drive success through mergers (M&A), rebranding initiatives and company process changes.

As the first communications manager at SP+ Corporation, Justin created and maintains the communications department. He manages the strategic communication practices for the company’s 24,000 North American employees, including all internal, change management, merger and acquisition, and digital communication. Prior to his work in Chicago, Justin held marketing management positions at Merrill Lynch, fostering client relations and marketing in the financial sector. Justin also helped to build the communication practice at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center’s flagship facility, UPMC Presbyterian, targeting the nursing and ancillary staff.

Justin has been active in both IABC/Chicago and IABC/Pittsburgh. He has won numerous IABC Bronze Quill and Silver Quill Awards, and served as an advisor for the IABC Regional and International Awards committees.  Justin holds a bachelor of arts in Media and Professional Communication from the University of Pittsburgh. Justin’s other interests include experimenting in the kitchen, enhancing his photography skills, traveling internationally, and volunteering with human rights organizations.
