Traci E. Carpenter
Traci E. Carpenter has spent the last 15 years writing for some of the world’s most distinguished political, philanthropic, and corporate leaders. Currently, Traci is a speechwriter and senior communications manager at Google, where she drives executive communications programs focused on Google’s technology, products, and culture. Prior to Google, Traci was the Speechwriter to the CEO at Nissan Motor Company, based in Tokyo. Before moving to the private sector, Traci wrote for several philanthropic and political leaders, including former President Bill Clinton at the Clinton Foundation, Dr. Judith Rodin at The Rockefeller Foundation, and former Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm. She also served as Director of Speechwriting and Content for MWW Group, a mid-size PR firm, providing strategic communications for technology, corporate, and public affairs clients. Traci began her professional writing career as a student columnist and freelance reporter at Newsweek magazine. A Michigan native, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with honors from Michigan State University. She currently lives in the SF Bay Area with her husband John and her dog Swayze.
